Gujarat
The State of Gujarat in located in the most western part of India. The Capital City is Gandhinagar, but the biggest city in this state is Ahmeddabad. Mahatma Gandhi was from this state.
This state has a rich history with numerous cultural and natural attractions. India’s first commercial port going back over a thousand year is in the ancient City of Lothal. Other important archaeological sites, like Dholavira and Gola Dhoro go back to 2458 BC.
There are four National Parks and twenty one sanctuaries. Gujarat is the only natural place outside Africa where Asiatic Lions can be seen. There are also leopards.
