Sunset Key Guest Cottages, A Westin Resort is located on Sunset Key, a secluded island located just 500 yards from Key West, Florida.  Sunset Key is approximately 27 acres and contains a developing private residential community in addition to the resort.  Cars are not permitted on the island.  Transportation to and from Sunset Key is aboard our 24-hour launch service which docks at The Westin Key West Resort & Marina.

There are 40 one-, two-, three and four-bedroom cottages. The one bedroom cottage are created by locking out the spare bedrooms of a two or three bedroom cottage. The one bedroom cottages offer two full size bathrooms. The two and three bedroom cottages (except three bedroom deluxe) offer three full size private bathrooms. Three bedroom cottages are in two story duplexes, except the three bedroom deluxe cottage. The three bedroom deluxe cottage is one story and has three private baths plus an extra half bath. There is a king bed in each bedroom in the three bedroom deluxe cottage. Four bedroom cottages are both two-story luxury oceanfront cottages and have their own private pool and washer/dryer. There is a king bed in each bedroom. There are three different types of views: Garden view, Partial Oceanv iew, and Oceanfront.  Garden view cottages have views of the gardens and pool area.  Oceanv iew cottages have partial ocean views from some area of the cottage.  Oceanfront cottages have direct ocean views.

Maximum Occupancy per Cottage: Sunset Key Guest Cottages welcomes all ages.  It is the perfect destination for family getaways, couples, meeting incentives and corporate retreats.  Cottage guests must be over 25 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult.  The one bedroom cottages can accommodate up to three persons.  If the third person is over 18 years old, they will be charged an extraperson fee of $75 per night.  The two bedroom cottage can accommodate up to five persons (including children).  The three bedroom cottages can accommodate up to seven persons (including children), except the three bedroom deluxe cottage. The three bedroom deluxe cottage sleeps up to six. Four bedroom cottages can accommodate up to eight persons.

Cottage Amenities: All cottages have kitchen, living/dining area, and veranda with Adirondack chairs. The kitchen is equipped with convection oven, dishwasher, kitchen utensils, flatware, toaster and coffee maker (we do provide complimentary coffee and tea). The living room is equipped with a five carousel CD player, stereo system, DVD/VHS player, and cordless phone.  All rooms have their own A/C thermostat control, ceiling fans, data ports, and direct dial phones.  Each bedroom contains luxurious bathrobes, hair dryer, Iron & ironing board, CD clock radio, cable television, Mini-Safe and a full size bathroom with tropical bath essentials.  Complimentary WIFI is available inside cottage and on cottage porch.

Resort Services: Daily maid and turndown, full-service spa, grocery delivery, concierge, wake-up, CDs, Books, Movies and Board Game Library. Complimentary breakfast basket filled with freshly baked muffins and other bakery specialties delivered to cottage porch each morning with daily newspaper and orange juice. Launch Transportation: Complimentary 24-hour launch transportation to and from Key West (dockage is at The Westin Marina) is available.  The launch ride is about 10 minutes long.  From 7:45 am to 2:15 am we offer two launches that run every half-hour from both The Westin Marina and from the Sunset Key Guest Dock.  From 2:30 am to 7:30 am we offer one launch that runs on demand.  A transportation Schedule will be given to guests at time of check-in.

Facilities include: Latitudes offers alfresco beachfront or indoor dining overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.  Latitudes cuisine is flavored with Caribbean accents and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Advance Reservations for Latitudes are recommended especially during Holidays and Special Events.  Flippers Pool Bar, two tennis courts with complimentary racquets and tennis balls provided, Upscale Gift Shop, Beach, and Tropical free-form garden pool- featuring zero degree entry and two heated jet pools.

Activities available in Key West (but, not limited to): snorkeling, sunset sailing, tall ship sailing, para-sailing, wave-runners, fishing, scuba diving, glass bottom boat, boat rentals, kayak tours, massage and spa, bicycle rental & scooter rental, narrated tours of Key West, walking & biking tours and private charters. Golfing is only 10 minute car ride from resort.  Museums, art galleries, and cultural events are in Key West.  The concierges can make all arrangements in advance or stop by their office at Sunset Key.
